湘绣是饮誉世界的四大名绣之一，其历史悠久，早在2500多年前
的春秋战国时代，湘绣就是封建朝廷受宠贡品，马王堆西汉古墓
中出土了四十件刺绣衣物更进一步说明了当时的湘绣就具有极强
的装饰观赏和收藏价值。
Hunan Embroidery is one of the four world-famous silk
embroideries in the country and enjoys a long
history.As early as over 2500 years ago(the
Spring&Autumn Perid),articles of Hunan Embroidery had
become tributes by loyal court.While the unearthing of
forty embroideries in the Xihan Dynasty's Mawangdui
Tomb further reveals that the local embroidery of Hunan
at that time had reached a historical height in its
value for ornament and collection.
